Also, I did not solder the wire to power, I wasn’t sure if I did it would void the return if it has something to do with the lcd.

I dont know that kit. Does it have a point for soldering in a power wire?

My initial suspicion is that it doesnt get enough power to run the screen. You would have to check the DCDC first and see if the 5v rail is outputting enough to run the screen.
