Weather Painters are a Fairy archetype that focuses on control and resource management of both yourself and the opponent to maintain advantage using their unique backrow that gives the Painters additional effects based on which Column the monster and Spell/Trap are in!

The Skill we will be using will be Fairy's Smile. We use this skill because it will be a common occurance that we remove our own monsters to dodge effects from the opponent, so extra LP is welcome whenever we draw our card for turn and it happens to be a fairy.

Let's go over the monsters in the Archetype and explain what each does for the Deck:

The Weather Painter Snow: This is our Deck's searcher. When Snow is Normal Summoned, you can activate a Canvas Spell or Trap directly from deck, face up.

The Weather Painter Thunder: Thunder is our backup searcher. Thunder can send another Continuous Spell or Trap from the field to the graveyard to activate a Canvas Spell or Trap directly from the deck, face up.

The Weather Painter Cloud: Cloud is the Deck's backrow protection. If a "The Weather" card you control is send to your graveyard, you can activate up to 2 "The Weather" Spell and Trap cards directly from your Graveyard!

If this looks kinda barren, wait for the Spell and Trap section for me to cover where Painter's Shine.

Now let's go over the Strength of the Weather Painters: Their Spells and Traps.

NOTE: All of the Painter Spells and Traps give this effect to the monsters in an adjacent column to it. It also banishes the adjacent monster as a cost, and returns it during the next standby phase. I will not be repeating this for each one, so just keep this in mind.

The Weather Snowy Canvas: This is our Deck's Monster searcher. When activated by banishing one of our Painter monsters, we can add a "The Weather" card from our deck to our hand.

The Weather Cloudy Canvas: This is one of our Deck's win conditions and control options. When activated, you can halve the ATK of a Monster anywhere on the board, but it can attack directly that turn.

The Weather Thundery Canvas: This is the Deck's primary control source. When a Weather monster battles an opponent's monster, you can banish your Painter to return the battling Monster to the Opponent's Hand.

The Weather Auroral Canvas: This is our final control source. When the opponent adds a single card to hand in any way, you can banish a Painter Monster, banish the card they added, then the opponent gets to draw 1 card to replace it.

Now for the other cards we will use in Weather Painters to help facilitate their plays:

Dogoran, the Mad Flame Kaiju/Any Kaiju-Style Monster you own that does NOT take up your normal summon (Sorry Lava Golem): Kaiju style monsters are great for Weather Painters because when paired with Thundery Canvas, they can return the Kaiju you summoned to the Opponent's board back to YOUR hand, do reuse and do it all over again next turn.

Arcana Force XIV: Temperance: Temperance is a weird card, but we won't be using it for any of its on field effects. We will however be using it for its Kuriboh style effect to dodge battle damage once in exchange for discarding it. It is also a fairy, so if we draw it for turn with Fairy's Smile we get an attack block AND 1000 LP! Also you have to show it to the opponent, tilting them further.

Kiteroid: While not a fairy, it is very much going to be serving the same purpose as Temperance in blocking direct attacks from our opponent, letting us survive a lot longer.

Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen: This Continuous spell doesnt stay in play for very long, as once per turn we can Special Summon any Fairy-Type Monster we want, most of the time it will be Thunder. Paired with thunder's effect, we can accelerate our setup by a full turn by sending Valhalla to the Graveyard and replacing it with a Canvas directly from deck, and we Don't need to even use our normal summon!

Temple of the Mind's Eye: Ok, I know this one looks super weird, but hear me out on this one. While this Field Spell is in play, any and all battle damage becomes 1000. If you dealt 1 million battle damage, it becomes 1000. If you deal 1 battle damage, it becomes 1000. It doesnt matter. This field spell makes OTK'ing through our board very difficult as the opponent needs 4 monsters to OTK us from 4000 LP. If we drew a fairy at any point and triggered Fairy's Smile, the opponent cannot OTK us through battle damage alone. This is also reversed, as when poking the opponent down with Snowy Canvas, Painters Cloud and Thunder have halved ATK, putting them under 1000 atk, making killing the opponent very tedious. With Temple in play however, their small ATK values don't matter at all, as all the battle damage is just 1000, now putting our opponent on a 1 turn timer to out our board or we will kill them.

Finally, let's cover the Extra Deck for Weather Painters:

Knightmare Unicorn/Phoenix: Generic removal in the ED slot, its just free to add to any deck that can link summon reliably.

Brute Enforcer: More Generic removal for things we cant out in the deck alone.

Number 47: Nightmare Shark: This is an oldie but a goodie, it allows us to give up some board presence from the painters to try to OTK the opponent. When its effect is activated, it can attack directly that turn, but only the Shark can attack.

Leviair the Sea Dragon: Leviair is there to help recycle banished Painters that may have had their return effects negated, keeping them banished.

(Everything else in the Extra Deck is preference, add what you feel is good for the deck and what helps you.)
