A while back we asked for more variety in gear and then the Dungeons were updated. But here I want to underline the issue with these exact items. I'll use this helmet as an example. Now I'm off the overall belief that items in this game in general should almost give double the stats they are right now. But my point here is to identify the fact that if you are going to get this hat at lvl 46, you are NOT gaining stats, yes you get a little bit more damage with 2 more agi then the lvl 40 hat, in the trade of 2 end. <- This is a damage boost ofcourse, but let's be honest how can you notice it? Spend the time you would grind for this item, grinding 1 lvl and you get +3 agi from stat points. That's already more damage.
The point I try to make here is that most items are balanced around having a balanced amount of END/dmg stat. But items like Eddy's Shoes are always the ones people really want because they noticably can increase your damage in the trade off for having no END. These types of items are super good for variety and build diversity. But when you are talking about 1-2 stats tradeoff in AGI-END and not even giving an overall total stat boost from the main items, they are never worth it. I wish there was more volatility in gear diversity and that doesn't mean that I want to have different ways to get the items. I just want there to be a decision of a balanced overall better stat item, but if I'm grinding a little lowerlvl mobs I want a 90/10 towards dmg side or have 20/80 on the defensive for example. THAT is how you can create healthy gear diversity.
Almost all gear that doesn't go somewhere in terms of upgrades feels completely neglectable, and while in the 40's-60's you most likely don't use the enchantment stones, so no gear ever actually needs to be explored. The halloween tower heads gives strength instead of agi which is fantastic! That also creates diversity, but for the love of god why does everything need so much END. Make End specific items instead.
