How to move fluid between inventories

I am making a diesel-powered vehicle, and it works well, but the only issue is that i cannot refuel it without manually taking out a bucket and filling the tanks myself. I am trying to use a fluid interface to transfer, but it wont work.

Ive recreated the back of my creation in front of a fluid interface with infinite fuel to try and fill it up, but it wont work. (right tank is fueled manually for the diesel engine to work)

Any idea on an alternate method?

you can use a hose pulley

for pulling it out

or a mechanical arm

putting filled buckets on a depot

connected with a drain
