Installing both Create and Valkyrien Skies built from the latest source code
Create a world
Find a mob in the world (or use a spawn egg)
Once the crosshair is pointed at the mob, the game will crash

When installing either Create or Valkyrien Skies individually, the mentioned issue does not occur.
Use v2.1.3-beta.1 also does not manifest this issue.
