Wheel alternatives? Or a config to change what blocks count as wheels?

I'm trying to make a big plane, but I absolutely hate using the grindstones or ice for wheels, it doesn't fit the theme in any way. Can we configure the friction for each block and change which blocks count as wheels? (as in change the block to have the same properties as grindstones)
