#Lag issue with 1.18.2 Eureka 1.1.0 beta.8

With Eureka 1.1.0 beta.8, Kotlin for Forge 3.4.0, Oculus 1.2.5a, Rubidium 0.5.3a (why is Rubidium in an unfinished version but Oculus, its addon, isn't? wack), and Valkyrien Skies 2.1.0 beta.10, the game runs about as expected.

With the addition of EntityCulling 1.5.1, FerriteCore 4.2.1, and Starlight 1.0.2+.546ae87, the game lags significantly more, going from a low of over 40 and a high at about 87 to a low of about 12 and a high of about 57 (approximations from what I can remember from testing).

After removing each of those three mods individually (and testing on the same world each time), I found Starlight to be the main cause of the FPS decrease. However, my framerate seemed to still be slightly lower, even without Starlight. Although this could be from other factors such as more things in the world having loaded or whatever, I still think it's noteworthy.

FORGE TOO BTW

UPDATE

#

The lag remains after Starlight's removal

#

dunno why it was acting fine at first

#

im gonna test the world without the three and see if anything's changed

#

andddd now that I'm running the game without the three the FPS is down to 8, then 7, then 6
wtf

#

switching to fabric for now no freaking clue what the issue is if an admin can't replicate it ping me it could be any number of issues
for future reference I haven't had lag problems previously, check the video on my YT when I played with insane graphics if you want proof

#

(this one)

#

god DAMNIT it's doing the same thing on fabric

#

seems to be doing it... less, though

#

it's 81 and then I'll sprint and it's 21

#

staying still is so smooth

#

then I move and that does crazy stuff, similarly to what was with forge but this is so drastic it's actually noteworthy
before it was just like "oh well that's how lag works" but this is a serious gap

#

on a working boat (these things are sick) it's still the same issue
if I move then it lags, but if I stay still it's bobbing and everything
if it helps it appears the physics actually lags when moving

#

turning off shaders doesn't fix the problem but my FPS does go up a bit... because duh

#

worth noting without shaders the physics lags significantly more than the actual FPS does when going fast

i have not skippped over it, ive been busy

Ive got no idea why tf your game is throwing a fit with those specific mods and as such cannot help
