if you leeave the ship permanently assembled you will run into much less bugs

it was the same way on 1.12

its a little bit inevitable

a lot of mod blocks don't like being copied

you can see the same issues if you try to cut and paste in world edit for example

if you really need to disassemble you can use the clone command
