#Voice channel layout feedback

Hi Ryan! I do understand what you are trying to do with the voice channels. And I applaud it! But it still ain't right.
I tend to use my phone for vcs but also my pc. On the phone you cannot see the designations of the channels as they are because the titles get cut off by the small screen size.
Also the names of the channels are a bit weird (for me).

Why do we need lounges? It's a nice idea to be all sitting around in comfy chairs chatting but designating those channels as lounges give a false impression. Some of the other names are equally confusing.
Can we talk about this?

The names we didn’t put much thought into. They’re not very significant, lounge was just a random fun name we thought of
We just didn’t want any duplicate names between the different voice channel styles is all
So the name can change, but what we wanted was a few general 15-person rooms
Are you saying the name “lounge” isn’t good or we shouldn’t have 15-capacity voice channels rooms? @unique path

I feel the important information for each channel should be how many people can use the channel and whether it is solely for Spanish or English or both.
It may be that I am just a confused old fart but I do find the current arrangement to be quite hard to navigate

One thing to keep in mind is we have to keep the channel names short, or else they overflow in the channel column. So for example, in ESP SALAS GENERALES 1-5, probably all a lot of people will see if five copies of “ESP SALAS...”

I have amended the above to make the titles as short as possible
Each of the three caregories has its own numbering system to make navigation easier. For example 'Hi, why dont you join me in ESP GEN 4?' General could be shortened to GEN? Not sure about APR for Aprendiz cos my ESP is not sufficient to make a decision on that...
This is just a suggestion, I am not suggesting it is the only solution. I would not be heartbroken if you just tell me to fk off!

Haha no we made this thread to take suggestions from the users who were actually using voice, rather than us up on our high throne just throwing down updates
I think it’s a good suggestion we’ll take it into consideration
The core of your suggestion seems to be basically, we should make it more clear what language is to be spoken in which channel

Yeah. It probably wont work because people just ignore the instructions. I am guilty of that myself!

creo que estaría bueno separar la categoría English & Spanish VC en dos categorías para poder colapsar y expandir dichas categorías, y poder navegar más fácilmente entre ellas.
