a suggestion for the server, technically, I guess: you can remember why you blocked people if you make a note on their profile. It stays there for the lifetime of the account and across servers: they can change their username and display image (and certain people do this a lot), but they can't remove the note.

The most basic usage of the command is you type ;q <your question text> to make a question, then hopefully people ping you when they answer you, and you see that, and then you type just ;q a when you’re satisfied with the answers you’ve received and it’ll be closed

Seems by the fact no one said no it means yes

The list of questions is now manually pinned to the bottom of #556189313159790592 by the bot
if someone responds to you without pinging you, I think it’s kind of their fault if you don’t see them. I don’t get how they expect you to see the message if they don’t ping you

It’s just that, for some people they don’t see the answers even if they get pinged

It really most helps the managers of the channel know which questions have already been answered so they can micromanage things like pinging users “hey did you see that answer” or just force closing questions

Actually I’ve been meaning to make a bunch of lastfm features for my bot too because I think lastfm doesn’t know how to do statistics and there’s a lot of stats I wanna pull on my music that lastfm doesn’t do

And music trends scaled by sizes of albums (all my top albums are there just because they’re long, and all my top artists are there because they’ve released a lot of albums)

So like maybe I really really like Artist A but they’ve only ever released a total of ten songs over two releases, while Artist B makes soundtracks for movies so he has the same number of releases (two) but they have 60-80 songs in there

So artist B is at the top of my most listened to because I get 8x more scrobbles from them by just listening to them once

Unless I were to listen to artist A’s stuff 8 times in a row consecutively lol (rip)

i appreciate the recognition that you don't have to be C2 to call yourself fluent but this is the official definition for B1:

I think the hardcode mode should be active in advanced channels but not active in #🤖・general-bot. Many of the role names are written in English and advanced users who set themselves as hardcore should be able to restrict themselves from using anything but the target language.

Yeah I don’t see a reason to disable hardcore in bot so I disagree with you there. All bot commands work even if your original message gets deleted.

And I agree with you in enabling it for all the chat channels. If I have hardcore, that means I can no longer participate in #🐟・ᴇɴ∕beginner or #🐬・ᴇɴ∕advanced which is unfortunate but it’s my choice by turning on hardcore mode and setting out to only use spanish

I think it's a good idea, but on the other hand if you want to show your pronouns I think it's better for a) people to show their pronouns in their nickname if they wish to and b) for the community to just push for not assuming genders of people and using gender neutral pronouns for people until they know better/hear

En castellano casi siempre funciona "¿Eres nuevo/a?" - Sí,/No soy nueva etc.

Hello there! I just thought it would be a great idea to add some sort of acting group in which x amount of participants could be chosen randomly per short story and every one of those participants would get to play a character according to a (not very strict) script. It would be a funny project and definitely a good way to meet new people and encourage the use of new vocabulary

The problem is we discussed it as a mod team but then ryry was programming his bot to do it and there was some miscommunication. But since he's in Japan it will take a minute for us to get it fixed
