in current system the light bulb and chandelier can be maybe "hacked" a little, but the ladder would have to be changed which would change all current builds using it.

if its keeping you from placing it you can get around this by holding ctrl and pressing v 3 times to take it in and out then back into free place mode but keeping aligned to the grid.
