#Trouble syncing Pc and Mobile progression

Hey guys, I have been trying to sync my progress between pc and mobile. I have installed Ylands on pc via steam, which I know can cause issues sometimes with third party accounts. On mobile, I run android, so downloaded from the play store.

I can log in to Ylands on mobile through my BI account, but there is no progress. First thing I did was go back to the PC version and noticed that it needs my BI credentials to be able sync my progress, I entered my BI account info and came up with a message that the email is already in use. I am not for sure if this could be an issue where steam uses my steam ID for the game or not. I do only have the one steam account as well.

Let me know if you need any more information.

Any help on this matter would be tremendously appreciated, and keep up the good work on this game!

After some more digging I found out that steam has essentially created it's own account for BI that is totally separate from the account that I have through BI. Is it possible to delete the account so I can add my email when I log in with steam?

@icy arch it can but I believe the Devs are so overwhelmed and busy with this new update that they haven't had the time to get to you yet.

Hi,
yes as you already noticed when you login for a first time into steam (and you do not login with existing account) it will link your guest account to steam (it will give you steam ID which is steam policy and they do not allow to change it).

If you do not want the steam progress, here is what I can do. You will confirm you want it deleted, I will wipe steam ID from your current account (i will need your ylands name on steam or your steam ID). Then when you start game on steam you should have the clean start window and you should be able to connect with your mobile account (by using BI login and your mentioned mail and password).

Just word of warning, you will be able to access your character progress (your ship, crafting progress, tech tree, diary, inventory, your animal companions). You will NOT be able to access your mobile saves, as for now there is no simple solution for us to transfer saves, so only possibility how to transfer saves now is steam vs steam = you will see your saves on map, but you will not be able to travel there. And remember that visual of explore map IS common both for mobile and steam so if you delete map on PC, you will not be able to get there on mobile later even if the save is still somewhere in mobile data.

I appreciate the reply, and if I did not have 200 hours in the game already, I would do that. But from a technician standpoint, if things can go wrong, they will, lol. I just do not want to risk losing any progress or having bigger issues than I have now. I would like to play on mobile, but not the first time I have had to make a sacrifice for steam.

Keep up the good work on the game, it is unique, and I am excited to see where the game goes from here!
