This has been brought up so many times now haha I think there's actually a lot of behind the scenes work involved in something as seemingly simple as changing an element of the UI which is why it hasn't happened yet

it's a commonly known and disliked thing lol. They know that section of UI which is hidden behind the eye icon is pretty much useless. But as hando said it's apparenly very diffucult to change because it has to work on little smartphone screens too with different aspect ratios etc. The devs also have very little time for these things
