Just to be clear, the mod role here is not "support staff" - it's not a requirement that mods are helpful.

It's purely an issue of needing trusted people to enforce the limited rules we have when dickheads come along - and my approach to selecting "trusted people" is to ask people with prolonged activity here (not necessarily being helpful, but just being mature and sensible) if they want to take on the role.

Yes, absolutely there have been - trust me it doesn't go unnoticed. And I'm hugely grateful for anything anyone is willing to contribute, no matter the scale. It's just that the link between being helpful & being asked to be a mod isn't as strong as you think. Perhaps an additional "helpful" role can be created in the future to fill that gap that we can hand out more regularly.

Someone asked on a Discord bot discord if someone could make a bot for him. And I didn't want anything. I made it in like a weekend. No costs. But he did never come back to me.... But I got more ideas on the way on how I could organize the class structure of my next bot & continued making my util dependencies. I even recently added support for my PermissionManager (guess from what MC plugin I took some inispiration?) in my CommandManager. Restricting commands for my bot is now like super easy.

I have a question to all server admins and plugin users
I'm currently working on a nicer translation system.
It ships default translation files, allows custom translations and even overrides of existing translations.
Now all those files will be in a lang dir. Inside that is where you put your custom translations and overrides. And there's also the dir with the original translations. What would be the best name for that dir to indicate that the files there are the builtin translations and that they are updated automatically and must not be edited.

I was thinking about naming it:

builtin
default
original
base
base-translations
But none of them seem like the "just right" name. Can anyone help?

One question is there any way for my computer to recognize UTF-8 as a server? I realized that UTF-8 corrects characters only in the operating system for the end user, where UTF > ANSI formatting is required

For example my computer operated in the same way as a server or UTF > ANSI formatting is not necessary, it would recognize both, and it would not give bugs of invalid characters within the game
