@drowsy quest I don't know, but I think you missunderstand the issue of the user (GitHub #1985)
From what I undestand do they have the issue, that the group B is no longer visible (no longer the primary group) of the user when the VIP group is temporary added.
Your response is more for the question on how to increase the time of a temp perm/rank rather than how to not switch group when temp-adding one.

it depends on how "vanilla" you want your server. having a trade or auction plugin is nice to lessen the chance of scams. gui shop is nice if you dont want people to congregate in an actual shop area or you dont want to make a shop.

id rather not. ok - one thing i suggest is to delete the config.yml from LP and start over.
only change:

make sure the password is put inside the existing ' ' do not remove those symbols.

you vote on the vote site, it sends to your network and if you have voting rewards on all your backends, you could have it where they either get a reward on each server (that you set) or you can use other plugins that make you claim the vote only on one server (so you wouldnt get the same vote reward on a different server)

With that setting, it doesn’t send the message to both of the servers at the same time.. say I’m on server A when I vote, I’ll get the rewards instantly, but if I decide to pop onto server B in 30 minutes, I then get the message and rewards there, as well

thats why its mentioned they are near the top in a different part of the config - those you dont have to change, but if you leave as is, then dont add the {prefix} or {suffix} parts of the example format

no need to hide uuid - fyi, namemc would show it - but ok, so you have prefix there, so its in the chat settings. go ahead and follow whats in the pinned paying attention to the top two settings that arent in the chat section of the config for essentials

oh - ok, so when it defaults back that means you had a space or something wrong in the YAML formatting. youll see a new config in essentials folder and also one with broken in the filename

you dont need to use that section unless you want chat to look different for other groups.

if you want everyone to have the same chat, but different prefixes, just add the prefix in LP for its group
