Doubt this is LuckPerms fault, I think I'm just a baka. Bought a minecraft server yesterday through Apex to set up a pixelmon server, I'm using reforged since it brings Pixelmon Extras with it. I want to add LuckPerms to the plugins so I can give perms for the essentials from that mod, but it can't be added through their plugin thing and manually adding it hasn't worked for me so far. Any clues what I might be doing wrong? Last attempt caused an error that disabled the spawning of pokemon, so I'm wiping the files for a fresh attempt since there's no data on it yet anyway.

Lemme take a look. The first attempt I think I just downloaded the regular recommended LP that pops up, but then I noticed my thing was running with sponge. The sponge combination caused an issue, but if I put it in a wrong folder that probably would've caused it

yes, so there are 4 levels of perms.
access - gives access to doors, levers, etc
container - (includes access trust) gives access to chests, shulkers, anvil, etc
trust - (includes container) basically full access to the claim, build, break, etc - but cant adjust the claim or toggle explosions (i dont think),
manage - gives access to give others the same or lower trust to the claim. so if you give someone manage and access, they can only give others access trust.
in the past, ive seen the same player in more than one group though. they may have updated the plugin to where if you give someone a level, it removes them from the other level maybe?

In the TAB config file. We removed the AFK suffix's and added:
tabsuffix: ' %luckperms_suffix_element_highest_on_track_beta%'
tagsuffix: ' %luckperms_suffix_element_highest_on_track_beta%'```
I think that was the main thing that made it work. We tried lots before we got to that but that should make it work.Anyone ever messed with the send-chat flag on Worldguard?
Surely adding a member to the region would allow them to use chat, or am I doing something wrong

on my scoreboard i added %player_health% to see the player health
when i take damage it does say for example 18hp but it says 18.66666666666666666666666666667777777777hp

what scoreboard are you using? did you try %player_health_scale% to see what that does? ive not used that placeholder, but it may work. your scoreboard shows all those characters? i thought it was limited to a certain number of characters.

@storm ravine thats why OP and wildcard perms (*) shouldnt be used. you get all perms, whether good or not wanted. you are getting perms like vanish, silent join/leave, etc. if you are using essentialsX - then add the spawn module for it and use /setspawn and /setworldspawn even possibly /setwarp spawn

you have a ton of duplicate perms for gamemode. to change gamemodes with essentialsX, you only need:
essentials.gamemode
essentials.gamemode.creative
essentials.gamemode.survival
essentials.gamemode.adventure
essentials.gamemode.all
i would remove the minecraft.command.gamemode perm from all groups. also, with using inheritance, there is no need to duplicate perms across groups.
so, if you want someone to be able to select creative, they need the first three perms
that allows access to the base command, to go into creative and to also go back to survival

so at some point, you had to have removed them from default because parent add would not remove them from default since every user gets default group on join
ok, so there is a way to do this, but will take some time and for you to make sure of things before you finalize it
so you can pull all perms from LP by /lp export perms.txt
from there, remove all the lines until you get to the users section.
then you can make it so that there is a command for each user to add them to default.
after that, you can run /lp import perms.txt and that should add all to default.
thats the only way i know to do that

I need root access to to access the exported file which I don't have. It gets automatically saved in the /home folder
