hm, this must be some sort of issue with the player being identified as inside/outside the town
LuckPerms has a feature called contexts, which allows you to give a certain player/group permissions while they satisfy that context
for example, when the player is inside the town, give him this permission
however, LuckPerms currently only supports 4 Contexts: Server, World, Proxy, and WorldGuard
I'm not 100% sure, but I believe this is due to LuckPerms not having a context for towny regions

I'd like to get some advice opinions on what plugins work especially well with LuckPerms
Im running Spigot/CraftBukkit 1.12.2. I have latest LP *.68. i want to keep that. I have Vault, EssentialsX, Grief Prevention and WorldGuard. do these all generally work well with LP? it seems they do.
what additional economy and shop and utilities would you recommend? I"m trying out a number of them currently, but don't feel compelled to keep any of them if people recommend others. thanks, and i hope this is appropriate place for this discussion.

Why u want to add a extra shop / eco Plugin if u already have EssentialsX? This plugin works well in my opinion for shop and economics. Also if u want smth extra/more i would also add SVS Signs - for buying ranks or smth else - it is a powerfull plugin - can rly do many stuff.

IP-address is personal information. I have the right to access my data. I have the right to demand that data being deleted. I have the right to have my data exported in an open and portable format. Applications has to be built with privacy-by-design. 🙂
Oh and you do not have the right to process my data unless I have given explicit consent. Exception is given for protection of computer systems (like access logs) but those has to be deleted as soon as possible.

While we do have use for short-term storage, we don't have a need for IP-logs from 2013. 😃

The discussion within staff right now is "what is an acceptable time to store IP-addresses". An exception is allowed for processing of IP-addresses even if we haven't received consent if it is for the protection of our systems, but it only states "shortest time possible" and there is disagreement on how long that should be.
The main reason we currently store IP-addresses is to find alts of banned people.

Almost every shared host gives you a subdomain like that. It's up to you to purchase your own domain and point it to the IP/domain your server is located. Can't really suggest any but Bisect Hosting was good for us when we used shared hosting a few years ago.

I finally got mysql to work with LuckPerms, but the bungee messageing system does not seem to work. I have to do a /lp sync on EVRY server for the changes to work... Can anyone help?

I was wondering if there was a plugin for bungeecord that welcomes people globally. so lets say your server is just starting out and you want to welcome each and every player that connects. Spigot will only welcome the player to a server that you're on. But... if you're on factions and they're on the hub. You won't see that they've joined. Is there a way around this?

Just wodnered what people think: When I first set up my server I set up a forum to go with it and put lots of information and tutorials in there, but no-one ever used it and no-one was interested. It wasn't Enjin, just a free one. Just wondered whether it is worth getting Enjin even if its just free. Who is going to be bothered using it?

You don't need it, pokemon despawn on their own. It does not cause lag. Its just forcing a process that happens on its own

There's two plugins that do it, PixelGenocide and PokeClear. Both work.
I would recommend joining with your main account, it is easier to keep track of. Once you open your server, you can contact me about being added to the servers discord, to receive more specific help. Other than that, see ya on the other side! 😊
