You must first set a world border using /world border set <diameter> where it is centred on your player. Don't make this too large else it'll take a very long time to generate. You then run /world border gen -a --save 2m which I found is the best combination of arguments

Make sure you use those jvm arguments or your server will quickly run out of resources and most likely crash during the generation

It is never out of memory when it crashes. I've tried using GC flags but they just make the RAM more unstable and wobbly. I've been getting this for a month already and I can't figure out what is causing this. I've updated to latest spigot, removed plugins, but nothing helped.. :/

@azure thorn As far as I can tell do you assign 6GB RAm to your Server, while it only can give around 5GB, which results in the Server overuse the RAM available (OutOfMemoryError)

What I did was I denied a permission to r w and e a certain folder, then I put more folders in that folder and named it like a password so they have to manually type the directory

#

Then I gave them access to r and w the ‘password’ folders

#

So they can’t do /home/user/servers but they can do /home/user/servers/(password)

It’s the only way to make it work using SFTP
