@gilded nova some people prefer using NameCheap's mailbox, yeah it's a little bit on the redundant side if you have a VPS, but;
It's like $9 for the mailbox, first user is free, every other user is ~+$3/Year, and it's up 24/7, no issues, immediate response, while if you host it on a VPS there's security issuse if you get hacked, slow response time depending on your host, the area, emails FROM your mail server on the VPS could get marked as spam depending if it was used before, or the location, etc.

I use NameCheap's mailbox because it's easier to manage, and I only needed one user, and I wanted it to be up 24/7 for DMCA requests

Anyone here know a bit about MySQL updating stuff? xP I dunno how to describe it, I just wanted to know if this was practical

If I made my plugin to be able to save.. let's say PlayerKills to a MySQL database, to then display it with PHP should I;

Update the database on every kill;
e.g.

public void onKill(PlayerDeathEvent event){
Player killer = event.getPlayer.getKiller();

// Add +1 to MySQL killer kills + player deaths

(Example code, problably wrong)

I want to make, that if a player types /h group:<groupname>, that the plugin should show all players with that group
But if the player just types a name without group:, that it should search for every player, that has a name, that begins with the argument...
I already have the code for the player function, but the group-thing won't work...
It just sais, that it didn't find any player...

quick search shows someone in 2013 having a similar issue without a solution though.
basic troubleshooting: only one version of your plugin on the server? does the class that uses this function accidentially run through it twice?
It might be usefull to insert some debug-responses (extra messages to the player running the command) to figure out where the duplicate comes from

correct me if i'm wrong since I barely have any java-knowledge at all and have just looked it up:
could your problem come from your for-loop in line 18? If I understand it correctly it means you repeat that loop for every player that's online, meaning if you have two players online you'd see the message twice and if you had 5 players online the message would show 5 times.
If I'm correct with the above, the fix would possibly be to break out of the loop after sending the message once?

however, I'll say this again. if you're on shared hosting, use multicraft until you move to your own system. Multicraft blends itself well to that use, much more than pterodactyl. With pterodactyl, someone could mess with a startup file which negatively impacts your server indirectly.
