What would you guys consider these levels of developer? What do you think they should be able to make?
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced

I believe beginners are the people who are learning, can make a command, a simple event, and inventory, getConfig().

I believe intermediate are the people making animated GUIs, GUIs that grow with a config, mess with packets, ProtocolLibAPI, that from memory can create a new ItemStack and has the basics all hard coded into their memory.

I believe advanced is someone who has 90%+ of Spigot wired into their brain, can create minigames, entire server from the ground up, using complete custom code, no need to open google, spigotmc, or ask for any help. Can create anything that's possible just by thinking about it, or being asked to create it.

Also, of course, everyone makes mistakes, so I wouldn't say someone isn't advanced cause they made a mistake 🤷

I believe people can program as long as they can google, a beginner is somebody who does not know a lot about a specific language, and intermediate is when you know basic stuffs, advanced is when you have in depth knowledge of a language, like how expensive calls are within the language etc.

Check out your bungee plugins too, they can cause lag when they try to write the bots to their db-s

when i upgrade my server from single server to bungee i wanted a plugin to kick players from other server, mute and ban... i found litebans, i downloaded a old cracked version to see if this works and it works perfect, few days later i bought the plugin and i really loved it

I know plenty of owners that've used leaked plugins, some is understandable if they're extremely overpriced, but plugins that are worth it like ChatControlPro, FeatherBoard, Tab, while not being extremely overpriced, is kinda annoying, but is understandable for cheap owners XD

The developers most the time don't care though, they don't get support, and if you're too broke to afford even plugins, the server won't go anywhere.

Yeah some plugins gave good price and devs have really good support, I found a plugin on spigot for eggwars with lots bad reviews and I send message to developer to ask him if he solved the problems bcz I wanted to buy it, he didn't answer me. And this happened 2 months ago

The owner let me have a test server just to test out their hosting, so I grabbed old outdated plugins from my harddrive.

2GBs of ram, 75 plugins, loading the world at 2x speed /fly, and it had absolutely no issues 😂 I was having so much fun trying to make it lag

Also 256MBs, 42 plugins, no issues 😂 Also for a german hosting, and me being on the west coast of North America, I was surprised by my ping (Not promoting, or kissing ass, cause I don't get paid either way XD)

Still learning plenty of Java and about everything else, so don't need anything too big, I got a 2GB VPS so I can share it with other developers

All the warnings are because my Java versions are messed up, the ! errors are because I haven't changed the build since changing to Ubuntu, so it doesn't know about Java or Spigot.jar yet

Use a hashmap where you save the uuid and when the plugin get disabled save all data to a yml file. On enable check if there is data in the yml file if so then add the data to the hashmap

You can store names pretty easy in yaml. I can send you some examples of loading and storing stringlists. Although I wouldn't use this method for large lists.

@dense ivy use Contabo, I had a VPS from them within ~20 to 30 minutes, support (email) is fast, vps, connection, etc are extremely fast, and for a german host, I live on the west coast of the United States, and I had about a ~100ms delay, which is crazy fast...

$12/12GBs if you don't get SSD boosted

The wiki says this about essentials.build:
"If you have a player who you don't want to perform build checks on. I.e. You want them to be able to build with any non blacklisted block. Give the player the following permission. This is recommended where possible as it reduces the number of checks the server needs to make every time a player places/breaks a block."

@gilded nova i use windows for my servers, with currently around 200 people online on 1 cluster (they are all friends and aquintances that are stress testing the server) and the server does not even hit 1% cpu usage 😛

(main reason for using windows is because its a test server)
