so I installed luckpermsbungee and it gives the correct messages and that when the command lpb is ran it gives the normal output telling you how to use it. But then when I try to actually do something it just returns the version. Am I doing something wrong or did I misunderstand the docs?

I'm not sure what you mean but:

proxy doesn't care about whether or not you have op, because there is no op on proxy
for most plugins, permissions have "priority" over op status, if I set a certain permission to false, even if I have op it will evaluate to false

Hey, a couple of questions. So I was in here the other day and asked about a solution to only have certian groups applied on certian servers in a bungee network. I was told to look into contexts. This help me understood what they are and how they work but I am still a little confused after my read over the page. Can I add a server context for the entire group itself, or do I have to make it per-permission and per-prefix?
Also, I am using the latest release of luckperms-bungee, but at the top of the page it says I am using a depreciated version and as soon to be removed. How can I update to the new web editor, should I just use the latest luckperms release instead of the latest bungee release?

LuckPerms does not display things in chat!

LuckPerms is only able to send information to formatting plugins so that they display them properly. LuckPerms does not put the prefix in front of your name, you need a chat formatting plugin to do it, and you need Vault. Same goes for the tablist! If the information appears correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!

LuckPerms does not display things in chat!

LuckPerms is only able to send information to formatting plugins so that they display them properly. LuckPerms does not put the prefix in front of your name, you need a chat formatting plugin to do it, and you need Vault. Same goes for the tablist! If the information appears correctly when you run /lp user <user> info, LuckPerms is doing its job!

Due to how bungee works, it requires you to put your backend servers in offline mode. This is fine since the bungeecord is in online mode and handles authentication. However, if people are able to connect to your backend servers without going via the bungee, they can spoof anyone's UUID and appear as them, with all the permissions etc. Obviously someone being able to use the account of an admin/owner is not good.

So what you want to do is prevent anything being able to connect to your backend servers except for the bungeecord

basically the syntax is lp editor [type] [filter], you can omit any of the two but the filter only applies to the users
