Basically it's not an issue in that sense. Small background info: I am moderator on a server which uses LuckPerms. I came as far as to make 4 successful towns, and I asked the owner if it was possible to get membership tags to display in chat. So I've been searching for a possibility to manage tags, but not ranks/rank tags, since that's a sensitive thing to mess with. So I was wondering if there was a possibility to set permissions for a certain tag instead of full access. I'm no plugin nerd so I hope it's clear what my dilemma is <.<

also, if you run addprefix more than once, you have too many prefixes assigned with the same weight, so how can anything know what prefix to display. check that you only have one prefix at that weight in the group and that you also have group weights setup. then make sure the chat plugin has the proper placeholder or setup to display prefixes.

Make a backup for safety

Hey, I'm having a bit of an issue with promoting players with ranks to staff members without removing their perks, and changing both the chat and tablist prefix to both show as the staff rank. Would someone mind helping me out with this?
I've tried doing the basic /lp user (player) parent add (staff rank) but that didn't exactly work properly as the chat was still the player's rank (non staff rank)
I also had another question aside from that. When a server goes down (terminated) but I backup all your files, including the luckperms files. Would I still be able to retrieve all those original groups and permissions that I had originally setup before or how does that work?

With the backups. Doing an /LP export backup will work
To restore. Put the generated file into the luckperms of the new server and type /LP import backup

It's a crash of doing some time ago, I solved it by adding a bungee and an antibot for the bungee, but I would like not to have to use the bungee just for that, so I came here

It's either have an online mode server, and reduce chances of hackers and bot attacks, or put up with it, the crash isn't caused by Luckperms. The bot attacks would be causing lag or other issues and when the server laggs out and crashes, it causes luckperms to crash
