There is really no way to block attacks in AD2, and no way to prevent enemies from dealing damage to you, all your attacks are pretty stubby and you HAVE to get up in the enemies face.
No way to throw weapons either...So you have to let enemies slowly walk over to and let them get super close and deal damage to you unless you are quick enough to stun em. We fixed alot of these issues in FA
Kicking always you to crowd control and get enemies away from you temporarily, you can block incoming attacks, throw weapons at enemies that are far away and you have a lot of time to react to enemies about to attack because their windups are really slow and exaggerated.

Reason being. It would break the flow of the game if we did have reloading. Since guns are OP and can instakill most enemies and cause bleeding damage, if you could reload you'd never want to use any of the other melee weapons.

Think Thief or Dishonored in terms of level design. It's open ended. So the Nightclub in the trailer has multiple ways to get in. You can bum rush those guys, sneak past em, throw a distraction, go in the front door, lure them into the trolley etc.
You can look for clues or notes to give helpful hints on how to tackle objectives easier. Delia is hidden somewhere, you'll have to FIND where.

You also keep in mind that each animation has 8 directions. So if he throws a punch thats like 30 frames, gotta do that from like 8 rotations to keep it looking 3d, so for my own sanity I keep the frame rate under like 30

This is the fella you will be pinned against during the demo. Frank "Matches" Malone, small time mobster, professional arsonist and owner of the Moth and Flame nightclub. You may have guessed how he earned his moniker. Malone is harsh criminal who's main motivation is money, and blackmail.
He sends his goons to carry out arson hits on local businesses. An arsonist for hire so to speak. He's pretty good at covering his tracks and making those hits look like accidents without leaving any trace of evidence leading back to himself.

@balmy iron stealth is optional but has advantages. Dudes with guns can mess you up so it might be better to take em out with stealth
