I remember Hotline Miami being a technical disaster on launch, so when they ported it to Playstation they wrote a new engine, then ported that back to PC

Before I continue, I am not a game dev or engine dev so don't take my word on this, I think then it would be time to find a new engine or just work around it if you can, I think for a game like Faith it is not too hard to find an engine, but if it is something like Half Life: Alyx then I would say you are a pretty ambitious person who expect some engine devs to take RPG Maker and change their shit for it (Also lowkey have no idea of the full scale of any of these engines other than Source 2).
