I used to be able to, but now it's just a static frame/black screen
Other windows/screen capture work perfectly fine

The few times the game capture source broke on me when recording devil daggers, I was able to solve it by just closing OBS and restarting it

So I went back to Dusk recently and tried intruder mode for the first time. Holy shit. This should be the default mode. Expecially on cero miedo while trying to beat each level without saving the game. having a different weapon selection in each level forces you to take different approach and plan things ahead, Get enemies to hurt each other, Use items. I never bothered picking up objects on previous playthroughs (except maybe the crystals) and now it feels like it's mandatory to save ammo or even to shield yourself from attacks. The further you are in a level the more you feel that you can die at any moment. this is why being able to save a game at any moment feels like cheating - it dstroys all the tension from barely scraping by and surviving by the skin of your teeth. And the traps, my god are the traps scary now. It adds a whole new dimension to secret hunting too. When previously I wouldn't care for them now after dying and restarting a level several times when I find a new secret stash it's often a life saver.

trust me I tried to make unique shit like a disc launcher and a fuckin black hole gun and a triple automatic shotgun and stuff... not only is it harder to work with and balance, but it usually lacks a well defined purpose and other weapons do it better. That's my experience with developing the weapons at least

I think they mean how majority of DUSKs weapons are bullet/shell based meanwhile Quake has nailguns.

Or its that the guns are based on real life firearms.
