Ive been tossing around ideas for a harder difficulty mode mod, and i think i got it: harder attacks and more enemies. By harder attack, i dont mean the lazy "more damage" way. I mean enhancing normal attacks. For example, if a wendogo is damaged while not invisible, it runs away turning invisible. Soldiers could occasionally shoot a mortar. Horrors could teleport back a bit when close to death

Maybe a bigger rat the blows up on death and the explosion sends normal rats around
