I bought Dusk 3 days ago and finished the campaign just a few hours ago.
This is the most fun ive had playing a first person shooter since Doom 2016. I even bought the intruder edition upgrade once i finished.
Huge thanks to the devs for creating this game. The unique art-style combined with the solid gameplay mechanics make for a very enjoyable game.

I got amid evil a while back. At this point in time, i think dusk is the superior game.
The FPS genre relies mainly on ranged combat, and amid evil is in a medieval setting which would normally imply melee combat, but instead has lots of weapons like swords and maces that conveniently have some sort of ranged functionality.
Putting aside the fact that it isnt complete yet, there does seem to be a bit of dissonance between the setting and the gameplay mechanics.

So for perspective I'd never played a build engine game before and I was 14 my understanding of 90s fps games were that they were all pretty rudimentary I was kind of shocked the game even had cutscenes, so when I rolled into the train station for the first time to see scared citizens running around screaming as they were being hacked apart by zombies and mowed down by cultists all whilst a guy screamed off stop locations over the loud speaker it felt just so... "Cinematic" and it blew me away that a game this old had anything like that in it
