maybe you could do something with the players position and polling it multiple times to see if movement is occuring and mess with the velocity from there, sounds a little dirty but it might work out
honestly it seems like something that should just sort itself out due to the physics engine but ive got very little experience with the unity character controller so i'm not really versed in how it handles velocities and what not

the problem is that the CC in Unity is twitchy as hell, and sometimes you'll get accelerated into the moon by a sudden collision
so if you use the position differentials you'll get a huge impulse out of nothing
and if you use the velocity that cc gives you the same crap happens

Just need to breeze through other levels now, got 4/11 from E1 already
I won't try Untouchable on E3M10 for now, because I either get hit by my own mortar hitting Jacob's bullets, or by the floor with secret on the final boss
Maybe I should post the videos as a Steam guide once I'm done with all levels, some strats might be helpful 🤔

@olive cloud It also happened something similar to me once. I've died, but two monsters were infighting right next to me.
Then one monster killed another and it dropped a health potion over me, which gave me 1 hp and got weapons back, so i could keep aim and attack the enemy, but couldn't move. (for obvious reasons, I was a zombie)
But only happened once and it's kinda difficult to recreate. No monster could kill me again after i've got that hp, so couldn't die twice.

We should encourage the flexibility of a developer. It encourages more creative and original output than if they're restrained to one idea. Not saying that David should never return to the game - the support it's getting over the following 12 months is fantastic, and I hope he does return to it later down the line in the form of a new episode (or even a sequel) but for now, you have to imagine the dude is pretty exhausted and wants a break from the game haha!
