like a cross between spawn and brother voodoo or something

I always saw Duskdude as Edgyana Jones the theif, who stuck his nose somewhere he shouldn't have been and got killed or somehting, and that's why you're on those meathooks. You WERE going to be butchered of later rituals, but when you, the player, showed up and woke him, mister disembodied voice guy detected a disturbance in the force and ordered the three Leathernecks that were supposed to do the butchering to "get on with it, will you?"

Huh. This option to completely change the color scheme of the entire game is something I didn't realize would be cool until I played with it.

As far as I know the game doesn't have a BFG equivilent other than the riveter, but you wouldn't have to reach across the number bar to pick a specific weapon

but then you have to scroll through them in the same slot
dual shotguns and the ssg function differently, but they're both shotguns, and should share a slot together
and cant be accessed as fast

Stuff like the gem pickup sound and the deflect were changed from synthy boops to more realistic noises like coins rattling and a sword parry

Animations are very important in weapon feedback, would make the enemies feel less of a solid entity and one that is vulnerable to our bullets

If you look at the strengths and limitations of each weapon, it makes sense
riveter does more from any distance
SSG has a pretty wide spread
ssg only gets the max damage when you are right beside them
So its usefulness is delegated to close range

Each weapon is situational. We want you swapping weapons all the time
Riveter shoots faster and has splash damage that still does considerable damage, I don't think that makes the riveter weaker than the shotgun even if its damage is 100 points lower than the SSG which is only applicable on meat shots

while the rocket launcher does, at max, 288
Honestly, I think they made the ssg in doom 2 a bit too good
As soon as you get it you don't really have to use the shotgun over it regardless of the spread
i still find a lot of use out of the shotgun given is excellent sniping abilities

The chaingun does it better if you tap fire it
but yeah for big close range situations, ssg is the way to go
the first two shots are accurate
i generally save chaingun for enemies with high pain chance, like spider demons, revenants, and mancubuses
Yo weapon swappers are cool. I constantly swap weapons because I'm cool. Cool people don't like Quake 2 so much because the weapon swapping is SLOW. Also cool people don't get hung up on numbers so much. Cool people constantly swap weapons for style because we're cool.

Hahaha, just tried it. That high pitched voice is hilarious. He even has different pitches - high, normal and low. I feel this is somewhat dependant on speed, direction (falling/rising) and proximity to one another, but I'm not sure what does what.

If you buy it now, you get everything that's there so far: 2 Episodes with 11 missions each, 2 endless arenas and the multiplayer beta. At release, the full SP will consist of 3 episodes with 11 missions per episode, 3 endless arenas and the multiplayer called Duskworld will be included as well.
yeah it's basically just buying the full game, but it's not all ready yet

The great thing is that you can always do that later as well. The selectable loadout and the level select make it really easy to jump in anywhere in the game.

Strafe is more of a run and gun quake 2 ish game, but still good, and for me the sounds and atmosphere is good, cause it does sometimes creep you out
