The problem with the sackhead art is that it will blend in with the garbage on steam. I agree completely about the state of steam. The wendigo art is how you stand out from the rest. Notice how all those bad asset flip games go for a brown/muted palette often with red font

It isn't just sales, although I can tell you i have friends that will not listen to me about DUSK because "I'm not buying another one of your crappy unity games dude." I just actually care about the capsule art for this game. It's too special to have safe and uninteresting cover art. Also you might be underestimating the sales impact of art. It's super important to a lot of people. First impressions are everything

that might be too derivative of doom but dang
