There was a magic totem weapon, throwing sawblades, and I think the shotgun was different
And the AR looked more like an M16 than a non-descript machine gun
A chainsaw was in one of the tech demos too
And as far as I know, the current weapon lineup is set in stone.
Kinda wish the episodes would at least have reskins, but eh.
Sickles in EP2 could be replaced with military batons, pistols could be swapped for 1911's or Glocks, shotguns could stay the same though

The weapons are a downside (in my opinion) it's not original enough, I'd like a weapon line-up similar as Duke 3D wich offered a lots of different weapons... not just classic guns

I didn't get much use out of weapons like the freeze cannon or the trip mines though

I still think that the weapons is the biggest downfall of the game... it doesn't feel that much to use, plus the AR sucked (imo) in the pre pre pre alpha, except against the small enemies... and also the first episode looks short, apparently it can take 90 minutes to finish

I just bought dusk, the game is an absolute blast as expected, but i have a few important questions regarding level design
firstly, will rats in the first episode be replaced in certain levels once there'll be more enemy mobs in the game?

plus third question not regarding level design, maybe a lot of people asked this one, but i can't seem to find any conditions regarding the final medal, there is 100% medal, melee only medal, no-hit medal, what's the 4th one?

for now the best way to reset to default is to delete the cfg and reload the game

Instead of having a lot of space to accommodate the high playerspeed, you can have a small map with "lanes" that run back into each other
A map with good flow can play well in a high-speed game even if it's quite small
i don't disagree but i would argue and say that wouldn't work well for a game like dusk
here's why
imo anyway
because it's got a lot of movement that's not just forwards based
take doom or quake
most
with doom all
movement mechanics are forward ones
diag walk, bhop, etc
all based on forwards movement
but in dusk, there's an extreme focus on verticality and sliding
sliding is a BIG ONE
idk, you could pull off a lane map that also allows for sliding

i'm rambling, so i'll boil it down
Verticality is possible in Dusk, but it's not overly-emphasized in design
It's certainly not a requirement for any multiplayer map

it'll hard be make a map that flows well for dusk that's small unless it's full of holes and shit
