i think the glory kills definitely compliment doom's gameplay, what i actually dont like is the upgrades and how overpowered they are compared to the main firemode and usually only one of them is useful

id like the secondary fires to compliment the main firemodes, like the plasma gun's, rather than outright replace them
theres no reason to use the machine gun's main when you can use automatic homing missiles instead, no reason to use the rocket launcher's main if you can fire three rockets at once instead

or no reason to use the shotgun when you can use it as a fucking grenade launcher
