Actually. I think the village was normal without any cults. But theres a secret facility to research the 'land of the elder gods'. But demons broke lose and started to possess them. And this spreaded to the village. And the player is just some dude passing by, they grabbed him and took him to the basement to try and convert him or kill him, thats where you go berserk mode.
But why not just fight your way out of the village and escape tho. Why go all the way to the bottom of this. Is there a princess to be resqued?

where the boss's health bar disappears before he is dead
that has since been fixed, but it took a looooong time
to answer the questions that came up in the video, yes grenades are ammo for the mortar
the crossbow pierces enemies AND geometry, the entire level actually
the hunting rifle has some piercing, and is effectively the railgun
the Super Shotgun does insane damage, you werent wrong

yeah, It seems to be a hit or miss for most people, its still pretty early, but its got a full campain and a good asortment of stuff, end game is just kinda lacking
