We have similar goals but different ways of accomplishing them. Strafe is about doing something contemporary with oldschool sensibilities. Dusk is about making an FPS in the 90s style. We're both doing it out of the love of oldschool FPS.

The level progression would take place throughout a day, with you raiding an old western town in the morning, a jailhouse labyrinth also in the morning, progressing onwards to a railroad station at noon. From there it'd be a clean run to an indian settlement at sunset, eventually reaching a mining town at dusk. After the town the mines would be the final level.

Pretty much all the weapons would be the same, except maybe the pistols would be replaced with revolvers, a slightly slower firing speed for a slight damage increase. Something minor to the AR as well, maybe.
