I don't give a damn about the story in Bethesda games. I play them so I can wander around and do stupid stuff whenever I feel like. Fallout 4 took away a lot of the barriers between me and doing what I felt like, which I appreciated. Fallout 3 was already a terrible RPG with a terrible story, so downplaying the RPG elements in favor of more dicking around with stupidly complicated feature creep systems was a big plus in my book.
