you could use sliding as a novel way of locking your momentum from strafe jumps

unlike other quakes (outside perhaps quake 1) strafe jumps usually ended at certain corners where you didnt have enough room to do a proper strafe jump, you could instead slide through the corner and then jump right at the end to continue your strafe jumping velocity undisturbed

I can see how he considers guns scary as he probably has very little experience with guns both virtually and in real life and only knows that "this thing can very easily kills a person". But I mean, it's not real, GTAV isnt real, DOOM isnt real, call of duty isnt real, Battlefield 1 is based on something that happened (and was way more brutal than portrayed). I dont really know how a VIDEO GAME reviewer can't get that into his head though
