@ruby pewter It hasn't lost its meaning, but the meaning has changed. Strafe is quitre similar in design to the modern understanding of "Roguelike," in that it features permadeath, procgen levels, and light RPG mechanics. I personally prefer the term "RogueLITE" for those sort of games, since Roguelikes were a thing long before Binding of Isaac redefined the term, but still... the term still has meaning. Just a different meaning than it used to.
