Stop auto-denying repeat suggestions.

This may be hard to understand but I can try to explain my thought process here. More frequently than not, suggestions that are overall good are pushed down by mods or even locked. We as players do not know that suggestions are repeat (most of the time) and I would even say multiple people suggesting the same thing is a better sign of how it would be wanted from the community. Locking and pushing down good ideas just because a different mod or player ‘suggested it a while back without it being added so it has to be not gonna happen’ makes it so players feel like they are less heard by minehut staff.

I would actually love it if people stopped repeat suggesting and mods hide all the repeat suggestions tbh

Too many times I've made unique suggestions and had them get buried under a hundred posts about removing time limit and adding back external servers, it's incredibly annoying

I'd rather they just give a proper response to one post, link it in a pinned thread and then hide all the other threads that bring it up

Agreed, repeat suggestions are just piled up space and need to be removed and prevented. There is no reason for them.

Its kinda counter productive to have multiple different places to discuss the same suggestion. Similar things would be repeated in both places. Its better when everything is in one place so it can be more easily read through and see how much people want something.

If multiple people are wanting the same thing, yes thats a good thing. But rather than every person who wants something creating a separate post, just find the existing post and put your discussion in there. Or use the upvote button as that is what it is there for. It is also not hard to find if something has been suggested before or not. Discord forum channels have a built in feature that allow you to search for posts. You can use that and if you find a similar suggestion, just upvote that or type your feedback in there. It is fine to reply to even super old posts as long as you are giving feedback on it and not just a random "I agree".

I think you should remember Minehut Meta as you were an active member then. But that was something that was done a lot then as well and something that many places do for feedback.

My reference is the recent 3add suggestion about Rejoin after Reboot. 3add suggested this obviously good suggestion, and within his conversation he was told that it already existed at specific paid levels and that it had already been suggested internally in a more complex way.

I think saying these things is a way that mods are discouraging players to make more suggestions, which is the grander issue I think at hand. If players are scared of mod reaction to them trying to come up with creative ideas, to the point of them getting told off and their channels locked, players are going to make less suggestions, less helpful suggestions, and “real” suggestions from players who care are clouded by that unrest

I think more players want to make less suggestions because they get buried under the 10th external suggestion of the day than people getting told that there's already a post about it with an admin comment

I personally don't feel listened to whatsoever because more mod and admin time goes into explaining why there's a 4h time limit than actually taking time to respond to my unique suggestions and I feel the same way about every other suggestion buried away
