ISSUE: So for the past three months or so i've been having this huge ping problem in minecraft. I would play and it would be fine for the first 10 minutes or so but then my ping spikes to like 300-1500 out of nowhere. I did some research on this and most ppl are saying that its either a slow internet problem or where the server is located in relation to my own location, but this doesn't seem to be the problem either, because my internet speed is relatively fast and I still had ping issues while hosting my own server located in my general area. This is a huge problem for me because it makes the game unplayable, people teleport out of nowhere, the blocks I mine reappear after I break them, etc... plz help ;-;
INFO: - I play on 120 fps, and i've never had any issues with fps in general.
- This ping spike issue only happens in minecraft, all other games even ones with big graphics work perfectly fine.
- I have a relatively high end computer, much better than my old ones. So I highly doubt its my computer, as other games work so much smoother than on my old computers
- I currently play mc on Lunar Client
- Ping spikes happen and stay for around 5-10 mins then it goes back to being around 20-40, until it spikes again
Solutions I already tried:
- I was told to go to my minecraft launcher, go to installations, and allocated my RAM from 2G to something higher. I already tried setting it to 4G, 5G, 6G, didnt help.
- Another post I saw on this matter said for my to download the 17.0.10 java source and set that as my java executable, didn't work
- I lowered my render distance, set all my graphics and performance to its lowest, but ping still went crazy.
SIDE NOTE: I am not a computer person and if you ask me about complex stuff i prob won't understand sry
If anybody knows of a possible solution for this plz let me know ;-;
Also im sure I missed a couple of details while explaining this so if you need any info on my device, internet, then I'll try my best to answer.
