The place I'm in currently has the AC out, and our sanity is being kept with a fan. However, I was watching YouTube on my Switch, and the fans started going really fast. I also noticed the Switch was getting noticeably hot, so I powered it off. Should I be good holding it in front of my fan to cool it down, or what else should I do to ensure it stays nice, cool, and far from being bluescreened?

Keeping it near the fan is one way but you should read the tag below

VENTILATION & FAN

○ Air will be sucked in from the intake vent on the back of the Switch, and then blow out by the fan on the top vent, along with the console's generated heat. When docked, the hole on the back of the dock will connect the bottom vent to the outside. Airflow chart.

○ The Switch fan can be surprising loud. It can get around 30-35 dB on intensive games.

• Good practices for ventilation:
・ Keep the areas around the vent clear for better airflow.
・ Do regular cleaning on the vents with a squeeze blower or compressed air can.
・ Turn off the Switch when you have to store in enclosed space for a while.

• Signs of concern:
・ The fan is making abnormal, grinding noise. It may be broken or has worn out and need to be replaced.
・ The Switch showed an overheat error and shutdown (SoC reached 67°C). This is a safety feature to protect the components when they reach a certain dangerous temperature threshold. Your Switch may have issue venting the heat.

・ You should also consider replacing thermal paste, or use 1mm thermal pads for easier application.

Just make sure the vents are not blocked.
