So I've had my original switch since launch back in 2017, and I'm quite conflicted..

It's starting to finally show signs of aging, and I'm not sure if I should even bother trying to fix it, it's gonna need a lot of new things but I think it would be awesome to do it to give my switch a second chance to thrive.

I'm not a very tech savvy person though, and I've never tried taking anything apart before to fix it

And with all the components I'd need ( a new battery, back shell, thermal paste, canned air, pry tools and pics to get the heat sinc off of the CPU) along with being tight on cash so buying a new one would take quite awhile.

Is it even worth it to try to save it? Or should. I just let it go peacefully?

Personally, I couldn't let something I've had for that long go.

I would take it slow instead of trying to replace everything at once.

Maybe a part or two every pay day.

I appreciate it! I think I'm gonna wait to do the battery as it's not that big of a deal to me. So I think at first I'm gonna do the shell and repasting along with just general cleaning the fan and extra dust
