I have 2 kids 7yo + 4yo. Youngest can't read yet.
They each are getting a switch lite for Christmas. I am looking for something that we can each play on our own Switches together. I bought Minecraft and Animal Crossing for each of us, but I would really love games like Sea of Thieves or Deep Rock Galactic. I know Stardew Valley is an option as well.
Any leads would be appreciated!

Mario kart and mario party. The new party might be a bit expensive if ur buying 2 coppies though and both can be played multiplayer on a single console too
I haven't played sea of thieves, deep rock galactic or stardew valley myself so can't tell you my oppinion on that
Another fun option that has multiplayer but basically let's you play your own story is pokemon scarlet and violet: you can make a union circle to see each other walk around in game, you can do tera raids together, you can battle eachother and hunt for some shiny pokemon! (I can not reccomend this game for a 4 year old though)
Minecraft would have been my first pick as well btw
Another game to look into is overcooked! But just like mario party, minecraft and kart it can be played on a single console
Kirby forgotten land
P.s gen alpha is so spoiled. Can't read and you got the child a switch! Your crazy. But better a switch then that cocomelon crap! 🤣
I didn't understand english when I got my 3ds with pokemon sun so it's okay
@slow bane but should a 4 yrold really play be getting addicted video games! You said not understanding english, the kid doesn't understand understand any written language!
And did i say there 4!
I got a wii with mario bros at 4 which didn't contain a lot of text. The only part that was hard for me was saving the game and honesly if the parents moderate it a bit it's alright
@slow bane bro, if you can't read yet, isn't that a sign your too young to play video games. Sure you CAN, but...
If I am able to understand the controls, I can play
Addiction just comes from bad parrenting just say like 1 hour a day to your kid and have concequences if they play longer
That's the way I learned it
I just meant, let the little guy enjoy tech free stuff like colouring in and playing with cars/dolls while they're still little. No need to give them a device that little. Just meant to be a comment on how lucky gen alpha is. Chill out man.
1: use the switch to help teach your kid to read
2: Splatoon 3 it's a great multiplayer game. But U do need nso
But 4 is kinda yound for a switch
So maybe prioritise teaching them to read
Exactly! @slow bane look at this guy. He gets it!
ok honestly, skyve was asking for game recos not parenting so ... all of this was kind of unnecessary
