It's been around 2 months since I've charged my nintendo switch. When I plugged it in today, I didn't see the charging symbol that appears on the top right when it's plugged in even when it's out of charge. I've had it plugged in for almost 2 hours, which no indication that it's going to turn on? Is there anything that I can do?
#Switch Seemingly Not Charging

I can confirm that the charger does work as when I plug it into another usbc device, it works properly. It is the official nintendo charger
Additionally, I disconnected the joycons for charging
Even after pressing the power button for 30+ seconds, the switch doesn't work

BATTERY ISSUE
§ If you leave the Switch inactive, not charging for a long period of time (1-2 weeks or more), the battery's voltage may drop too low and will refuse to be charged, leading to a "dead" Switch. This can also degrade the battery's life and cause battery % number fluctuate randomly.
👉 Please check Charging/Power guide for best charging practices
■ Solution for dead battery
- Unplug the AC adapter from the wall socket for 30 seconds then plug it back in. This is to reset the AC adapter.
- Plug the AC adapter directly into your Switch, not through the dock.
- Leave it to charge for 6-12 hours.
- Attempt to turn it on by holding the Power button for 15 seconds, then at the 15s mark, release your finger, press down once to turn it on. This is to bypass boot issue.
■ If the above steps didn't work
Your last resort is to replace the battery entirely, via a repair service or DIY.
