#What Nintendo switch game should I get?

Funnily enough, these were the two first game I got alongside my switch for my birthday. I'd honestly just pick them both up if I were you. That being said, if you are keen on only getting one, here are some factors to consider:
So long as budget isn't a problem, Totk would be my first choice, solely because it is a switch exclusive. The rebel collection is a wonderful port and it runs at a noticeably higher resolution than zelda, no matter the mode you are playing in. However, you could get easily get a better experience on any other console or pc.
Furthermore, I find totk to have a longer gameplay loop, since you get to create various stuff using the ultrahand abilities. This means more variety post campaign. Once you max out your ships and character stats in the AC games, naval combat and melee rampages is all that you have left after completing the story.
The naval combat in AC black flag is really addicting however, and it really is a showcase for the switch. It never drop frames and maintains the 720p resolution target (portable mode) no matter how much is happening on screen. I still find myself routinely sailing and plundering whatever I see. It's repetitive, but I never seen to get enough of it. So long as you also find the naval combat as enjoyable as I do, the rebel collection is still worth your time.
Neither of these games are "spooky" but they are both open world and have an emphasis on exploration. If you want something spookier, I would recommend Dying Light. I would summarize it as an open world first person zombie parkour game.
I played that game a lot on my xbox and pc and its really fun in coop with a bunch of friends. Do know that crossplay isn't supported, so if you do get it on switch, you are stuck with your switch buddies.
The performance on the switch isn't as impressive as either of the two titles you mentionned. Dying light is a AAA game designed with the consoles and PCs in mind, not the switch's mediocre hardware. The frame rate, while it hovers around 30 fps, does have some drops and unstable frame-time. Honestly, I'm impressed it even runs.
Different people will have different tolerance levels to this. If you've experienced and have gotten used to stable 60-90 fps+ gameplay like I do, it will look jarring and might even make you uncomfortable after a while. But once more, it depends on the person. I got a friend who's been a switch gamer for his whole life and he's used to this level of performance.
Dying Light is out soon for Nintendo Switch - and Digital Foundry has exclusive access to the game. This is one of the most challenging ports we've seen and Techland has done a remarkable job in scaling down and optimising this brilliant game for a vintage 2015 mobile chipset. John Linneman has all of the details.

@plain temple Thank you for the recommendation and the info on the two games.
Yes, I do plan on getting both Totk and AC Rebel Collection since I've already played AC Odyssey and enjoyed the gameplay alot.
Sadly I do not have a different console and my pc isn't in great enough condition to play AC games on it so the switch is my only option but to be honest I play games with 30fps most of the time so the 30fps is not a biggie for me aslong as it's not too noticable (for example when playing Fortnite if my Wifi is good the 30fps are barely noticeable for me) I will make sure to check the review šš
So long as 30fps is something that you are used to, you're all good. Both of these titles are some of the most stable AAA games switch has to offer... um maybe less so for totk, but AC rebel collection definitely is. I'm not sure what switch model you have but just so you know, if you do plan to buy physical, the AC rebel collection cartridge only comes with AC4 black flag on it. The other title needs to be downloaded through the e-shop, which might be a problem if you are running low on storage. I didn't download it yet, but from what I've found online, its pretty close to 10gb, taking maybe around 7-8 depending on the person.
Yes, I use Switch OLED and I am wondering if I should get more storage too because I did hear that Rogue was from eshop
Nice, im also part of the oled gang š„
Do you have a micro sd card?
If not, consider investing in one asap
They are pretty cheap these days, you can get the fastest sandisk 512gb one for around 50 canadian dollars. It'll likely be even cheaper if you are living in the US. Definitely a must have for any switch owner.
Here's the one I got with my switch, its been fast and reliable, if it ever goes on sale, you should pick it up
Well
I'm not exactly from the US
I'm actually from Bulgaria and 512gb is not very cheap here lol
The one I can afford would range between 128gb and 200gb
Do u think that would be enough?
Considering the oled already has 64gb
personally, I don't think that 128 is enough... but that might be because I've been spoiled when it comes to storage.
here is a quick overview of my current switch storage situation, and the games that I have downloaded are already taking close to 100gb. And 3 of these are physical. So, TOTK, AC rebel (without rogue) & Taiko are not taking a storage (game file wise). BOTW is just there cause I used to borrow my friend's game disk, so it is essentially an empty icon taking little to no space.
Of course... mortal combat takes 32gb on its own... so that is an outlier... if you plan to only play 2d indie games, you will likely find yourself being ok. I get storage anxiety, if that is the best way to put it. At the end of the day, the size of the card only changes the amount of games you can have ready-to-play at any given time.
If you follow my use scenario, which is a few big titles, and various 2d visual novels, you'll always be able to fit at least 5-15 inside the sd card. That's more than enough selection for most, and its not like you can't redownload games either.
It's just a compromise you have to make in terms of the experience. If you don't plan to get anything too big later on, and will usually only buy physical, 128gb is cool. Once the 512 gb cards become cheap in bulgaria, you can make the swap. Sd cards are rather universal, I have at least 4 for my devices. My little music player has a 256 gb one, that's how crazy it is. I started at 32 gb back in the days, and slowly upgraded my way up to 512gb, once step at a time.
