#Best pokemon game for beginners

For a beginner switch Pokemon game, if you are a fan of open world games, then I would go for Legends Arceus
scarlet and violet are very beginner friendly too
maybe my favorite pokemon games personally
Nobody have ever realized this but I think pokemon sword & shield is the best starter for new players because it's gameplay is really leading and you will never get lost in the game. Also it has absolutely good graphics / story so it'll be a perfect start
@round ivy
If you want to play a more open-world like pokemon game then Legends Arceus is still an option but I dont recommend if you are new since the free roam is really hard to handle to newbies ( if you have a good knowledge about pokemons then it'll be pretty fine ig )
Easiest and best imo are the Lets go games.
Easiest game is the Let's go games but I would go with Sword/Shield if you want a better narrative and more of a pokemon game if that makes sense. Arceus is good for an open world but can be a hassle to get through at points. Scarlet/Violet are good as you can choose where to go and the ride pokemon is nicer and I'd rather do gym challenges than catch 30 of the same pokemon in Arceus. That's my take at least! (Don't get BDSP, it's not that good and it's just a crappy remake in most people's opinions)
True. Really any Pokémon game can be your first because they really aren’t that difficult. I would just get whichever one has been well received the best. Which is probably Arceus or Scarlet/Violet.
I think SwSh is a terrible choice for narrative personally I definitely would go with legends or SV for narrative
if you want old school pokemon bdsp are great
(I'm not really sure what the hate is about it's better then base diamond or pearl)
not in my opinion but just because I hate the newer art style.
its the same artstyle as a ds game though
eh whatever honestly i agree any of the games are beginner friendly
@obtuse oriole here’s the difference. The chibi style just isn’t my thing.
I genuinely don't see it
One is pixel graphics and the other is a more modern style with chibi characters. I have liked all the other games and their art direction except for this one that’s all.
3DS Pokemon looked better than Switch
Ehh idk about that. I think GameFreak just needs to do better. The graphics are very much lacking on switch I would say.
SWSH then BDSP and finally S&V
Where the fuck is PLA
How you see a pixel game is better than HD 3D
it's a matter of preference
but have you seen Z moves
The Light that Burns the Sky looks so good
PLA I find utter dog crap
soulsilver
Soul silver Is not best for new players
Also not on switch
Pla isn't good for new fans either it's too big of a departure
What does BDSP stand for
brilliant diamond, shining pearl
Wait for detective pikachu
Best Dazzling Streams of Palaces 🙃
