In the case you haven't seen it, we have a list of recommendations for these things.
CONTROLLERS RECOMMENDATIONS
• Full-size controller
・ Nintendo Pro Controller - $70: Official full-size controller with all features for the Switch. Bad D-pad.
・ 8bitdo Ultimate - $70 : Premium. No drift joystick. Superior software. Lack some features compare to Pro con.
・ Gulikit Kingkong Pro 2 controller - $69: All features, sans HDrumble. No drift joystick. On the fly macro.
・ IINE Wireless controller - $35.99: Full features. Quality lower than the above.
• Licensed brands: Slightly better quality than other random 3rd party. Wide range of pricing. More readily available on official markets.
PowerA, PDP, Hori
• Alternative Joy-con
※ Note: There is no alternative Joy-con with all the features of the original.
・ Hori Split-pad Pro - $44.99: Lacks gyro, vibration. No wireless. Hard to find a case that fit. Decent quality. Compact version.
・ Retroflag controller - $49.99: Gamecube design. No wireless, can't dock. No drift joystick.
・ Binbok Joypad - $49.99: Has wireless. Quality lower than Hori's.
・ Nyxi Wizard - $69: Gamecube design. Has wireless. No drift joystick.
・ IINE Neptune - $69: High quality ALPS joystick.
• Another option: Use Playstation/Xbox's controller on the Switch with 8bitdo Wireless USB adapter
GRIP RECOMMENDATIONS
● Official Nintendo Switch Joycon Grips
Nintendo's site for accessories
There are several versions, find them in your favorite stores.
● Officially Licensed by Nintendo: RDS Industry & Hori
● 3rd party but highly recommended: Skull&Co & Satisfye
● Others: JE Tech, Mumba, Butterfox, Fixture grip for Pro con
※ Note:: Make sure you buy a screen protector, as the grips can scratch the screen. Screen protector recommendations can be found by doing the protector tag.
These should cover all the types
Tbh this is up to your own preferences and budget.
Heck, if you want to train your arms, get the fixture to save (if you already have a Pro con).
Some people find joycon just fine, some don't (me included)
I did play through BotW with joycon, but after that I rarely use it.
And since I'm helping people on this channel, I know how often joycon get issues.
