This indicates Fire Emblem Engage is published with one single international version.

#

As in, all of its DLC are compatible with all copies

#

same with save data

Check the game's ID on the box or on your cartridge, you can also check it by selecting it on home screen and press +/- > software information

#

If you want to be extra safe, change the region of your account first, then go purchase the DLC, confirm if it works with the game, then change region back

#

For region changing, there are some restrictions, check below

CHANGING ESHOP'S REGION

• How to change eShop's region?
If you need to change your region, do so by going to this link: Edit your account's setting.

Notes:
・ The console's region setting in System Settings ⚙️ doesn't determine your eShop region. It's for language and format preferences.
・ You will need to spend all of your remaining funds.
・ You will need to unlink any Nintendo Network ID (NNID) linked to your account. They are on the Account Settings page page.
・ Child account cannot change region without the supervisor's permission.
・ All Gold Points will remain with each region's eShop and will not carry over to the new one.
・ For Nintendo Online Service (NSO), you may need to cancel automatic payment but can still use it on the new region.
・ Just to be safe, let any downloading finish before changing region.
・ Abuse of region changing may lead to a ban.
・ Tax evasion is illegal.
