What is the simplest way to show Switch screen (as docked) on laptop without a dock?

I guess I need to use capture card or simple HDMI to USB-C is enough? I need to not use the dock. My laptop has HDMI Out not In (similar as most laptops).

you've got to use a capture card but you also need the dock as far as i'm aware

I am travelling between places and one houses the dock, the other not. I will not be travelling with the dock.

as far as i'm aware, there is no way to get HDMI output from the switch unless you use the dock

Initially, I thought the very first one on the market was Genki's Covert dock one

But later on, Hexi showed me another obscured Chinese brand has the same thing out before that Covert dock

So I went and take a look on Aliexpress and saw so many more generic ones that were listed long before both of those above

If you want to buy one right now, you can try the Genki's offering. The only reason is because it's a known brand, so they have a reputation to uphold.

You think its the same as Plenbo? By reviews Plenbo seems very solid

Yeah, hardware wise they are all the same thing

Don't be confused by branding and design, that kinda thing they change easily

Genki's one is also just a rebranded from Chinese market

Which is the same story for most of their product, unfortunately

Plembo is the classic case of making some cool design and mark everything up to high heaven haha

Maybe they have good quality control, but marketing did most of the work
