exactly what the title asks.

is it not possible to use a capture card with a switch lite system because there is not build in output for audio and video??
i think that’s kinda confusing and doesn’t make sense, but i guess not surprisingly if it means you cannot record video on a lite with a capture card.
i just think it’s weird to imagine all capture card switch footage has never been taken on a lite because it can’t output video at all.

btw i’m not looking for alternatives to using a capture card like the built in 30 sec recording, im talking about the ability to use a capture card with a lite specifically and how weird it is that i’m guessing you can’t do it.

Why? The Lite is for handheld only and doesn’t include video out. End of story.

that’s not the only one that was available, and 3ds systems had the capability too.
i’m fairly certain there were/are output accessories for 3ds at the least, but they’re nintendo only and we’re used strictly on a official basis

but those are still infinitely more options than the no options for the switch lite

i understand they removed the output chip to make the lite the more affordable option, but i cant imagine that chip would have added that much more to the overall cost of the lite when you consider it’s already been altered to have affordability in mind, and other major features that would up the cost more imo are already not included

Well, it's not exactly a new topic, and the nature of it is very cut and dry.
You already said it, they took out the hardware for video/audio output to lower the price.

That's the whole point of the Lite. Lighter, compact, cheaper.

It has no hardware for that feature.

It's one of the most hacked console, software and hardware wise, if the feature was there, it would be enabled by the homebrew/hacking community already.
