Hello, I bought a Switch for myself and my daughter for Christmas. We live in two different countries, so we are limited to games with online support only (bonus points if there can be two players local as well as playing online as her mum might join her to play too).

At the moment, we only have Mario Kart 8; a week ago when she first played, she was driving along the walls for the entire game and coming last, however, after playing twice in the week on her own, she has started to win races against 50cc easy AI, so I think she has potential to pick up some difficult games.

She's into Disney, she loves watching things on Disney+, she likes girly things and cartoons, but she has enjoyed Mario Kart. I think she'd be into platform Mario style games or anything Mario/Sonic.

I was going to pick her up Minecraft, as I think she'd like it, but her mum isn't sure she will like it. I'm a big Rocket League player, so I might get her to try that at some point too. I'll probably get a copy of Astroneer at some point, but that might be a bit advanced, we'll see.

Thoughts?

If she's into Disney you could try Disney dreamlight Valley it's currently on sale but I would definitely recommend Minecraft it's a good game for a kid to learn or you could also try switch sports kirbys dream buffet is fun too

And miro kart too

I know that a great one is animal crossing, if you want a platformer that is online multiplayer, 3d world is multiplayer, but besides that i feel that animal crossing could be a great fit

I'm not specifically after platformer games, just online that will appeal to a 6 year old girl, @swift carbon 🙂

Minecraft is amazing, there’s pink blocks and stuff and she could build a nice princess castle or something similar

#

I’ve played Minecraft since I was very young, it’s amazing for learning

she had tried it alone and didn't know how to play or avoid the mobs, so her mum had said that she didn't want to play it
